Behind The Blooms

Nicole Alston is an entrepreneur and a self published author in Baltimore County, Maryland. She is a part time floral design artist who specializes in custom floral arrangements both faux and fresh. Nicole has hand crafted bouquets for bridal events, birthdays, holidays, weddings and more. She opened Bloom By The Hour virtually on the Door Dash platform in 2022. Nicole has also won Favorite Bouquet Designer of 2023 at the Black Girls Florist Conference in Atlanta. She has also been the set designer for Grammy Nominated Artist Durand Bernarr’s You Gon Grow Too Tour. She has curated two successful workshops: Give Her Flowers and Blooms + Flutes. Nicole has been featured on LED Baltimore Billboard, Baltimore Banner, Carats and Cake, and ShoutOut ATL. Bloom By The Hour is partnered with Association of Wedding Professionals, BGE, Door Dash, and The Royal Sonesta Hotel.

We use artistry and knowledge to cultivate an experience of gratitude, excitement, and joy.

Working with Bloom by the Hour was such a wonderful experience! Nicole was very professional and knowledgeable about wedding related florals to create a beautiful display for my event. The guests in attendance were from all sectors of the wedding and hospitality field and we all could not stop gushing over how lovely everything came together.
